Admiral Rachel Levine is the Biden Administration’s Assistant Health Secretary. Admiral Levine, a transgender individual, recently praised a non-profit which has said that “mothers” should instead be called “egg producers,” a comment to which Megyn Kelly responded with fire and fury. Kelly faced woke criticism for doing so and is now refusing to back down.
As background, Admiral Levine recently visited a non-profit community center in Alaska called Identity Alaska. It mainly provides resources and health care for the “LGBTQIA2S+” community which stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, asexual, and two-spirit.
While there, Admiral Levine complimented the non-profit for its work, saying, “These inspiring people work tirelessly to create a more equitable future, where all those living in the U.S. have equal access to lifesaving medical care.”
Well, Megyn Kelly went on the offensive against that on Twitter, saying, “This is Joe Biden’s rep (a man posing as a woman — and not convincingly) endorsing the idea of scrubbing the term “women” for “egg producers.” So jealous he can’t be female he wants to erase those of us who are. IT’S A NO.”
Predictably, that comment led to utter fury from the left. One leftie, for example, said, “This is how Megyn Kelly speaks about a transgender person.” Megyn Kelly didn’t back down. Instead, she pledged to keep fighting on that issue, saying, “Correct, and will continue to.”
Fox News Digital found more things in Identity Alaska’s programming for kids with which many conservatives will take issue. One lesson, for instance, argued that teachers need to tell students that bone findings in anthropological discoveries could be improperly gendered.
That lesson said, “Skeletal remains are often misidentified as a specific sex because of oversimplifications made about their development across individuals and groups. Intersex, transgender, and gender non-conforming individuals are now being readily identified due to genetic testing and the rejection of cissexism and heteronormativity in anthropology.”
It aims to promulgate such lessons and push them on schools, colleges and universities, and parents. Its website states, “This website aims to curate resources and connect science educators, students, learners of all types, parents, guardians, and everyone involved in supporting and learning to grow a more inclusive biology curriculum.”
Admiral Levine has faced the wrath of conservatives for many years, but a recent interview in which Levine said that transgender surgeries or other types of transgender care for young children could be necessary pushed things over the edge.
In that interview, when asked why people shouldn’t be told to wait until 18 for such procedures, Levine said, “Adolescence is hard and puberty is hard. What if you’re going through the wrong puberty? What if you inside feel that you are female, but now you’re going through a male puberty?”
Continuing, Levine added, “Gender-affirming care is mental health care. Gender-affirming care is literally suicide prevention. A supportive adult can make all the difference. Now one might hope that might be a parent or a relative. Sometimes it’s a teacher or a coach or a religious adviser or someone else in their life.”
